Why English is important for Accounting Majors?

In the current era of globalization, it is impossible if we don’t know the English Language. In addition to English as the language of international, English language skills in becoming one of the key in finding a job. Someone who has expertise in the English language has a plus value of insight. But not infrequently, we find people who want to be able to speak English but it is difficult to learn it. But, as we know in learning the English language, the most important thing is to dare to try it. So, something in this life, if we dare to try it then we will get the maximum value later.

In my writing, I would write "why English is important for accounting majors?"

As we know, basically that accounting was certainly closely related to the financial. And when we talk about finance, it means we are not just talking about the rupiah. That is, the financial reporting would not only presented in Indonesian only, but the accountant also required to make the financial reporting in English. When an accountant makes a financial report, accounts are used ranging from assets, liabilities, capital, or even accounts that aren’t commonly used such as a long-term employee benefits and deferred tax liabilities. Well, here, why the accountant is required to be able to speak English? Because when an accountant incorrectly inputting accounts in the financial statements, the financial statements can not be said to be in accordance with what is actually recorded. And when it happens, it means that it can be said that an accountant doing a financial manipulation.

In contrast, when an accountant to know the meaning of these accounts, it would make it easier to do the job. At present, not just an accountant who must be able to speak English, but all of humans should be able to speak English.

So, if there is a question whether English is important for accounting majors? The answer is true. English is necessary for an accountant to read or make a financial report in English. If an accountant is not proficient in English, to be able to survive in the working world is very small. Therefore, from now we should used to using English in everyday if we want to get a good job. Better wrong because of try it, than not try and not get anything later.
